The MSU-Billings
Library owns many of the Council for Indian Education, Blackfeet Heritage
Program, and Indian Reading Series booklets.The MSU-Billings Library owns many of

During the summer
of 2003, Vanette Johnston donated her husband’s research library on the America
West to Montana State University Billings, Library. Approximately 750 books on
fur trade, American Indians (such as Nez Perce, Apache, Sioux), American Indian
Wars, Custer, and general American western history comprise this collection
Images of the
Indian Peoples of the Northern Great Plains is a searchable online photograph
database created with grant support from the Institute of Museum and Library
Services National Leadership Grant Program.

Mission: To
assist Indian students on their adjustment to college life, promote better
scholastic ability through encouragement, foster pride in the racial and
cultural heritage of the American Indian, and Encourage Participation by
Everyone in social activities.
