RE:           Campus Report for the May 17, 2001 Board of Regents Meeting

·        At the President’s Annual Donor Dinner, FVCC announced that Chet Ross, FVCC founding member of the Board of Trustees, received the Eagle Award.  The Eagle award is the most prestigious acknowledgement awarded to someone who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the college.  More than 100 people were present to honor Chet Ross.

·        The FVCC Board of Trustees have sent out for a request for proposal to architects for the formal design of a new educational facility.  The Board has approved the first steps in developing a new educational facility on the FVCC campus.

·        The Lincoln County Campus of FVCC has closed on the purchase of a building.  This building is the former Kootenai National Forest Supervisors’ Office located on Highway 2.  This was made possible through the Libby Area Development Council Federal Grant. Renovation on the building is expected to be completed by October.

·        FVCC’s graduation will be held on Friday, May 18.  State Senator Steve Doherty will be graduation speaker.  For the first time, the University of Great Falls will have six graduates from their Kalispell, Bachelor of Science program participating in the graduation.
