THAT: The Board of Regents of Higher Education appoints Jim Stipcich, Executive Director of the Montana Higher Education Student Assistance Corporation and the Student Assistance Foundation of Montana; and Jessica Kobos, President of Montana Associated Students to a term beginning January 1, 2000 and ending December 31, 2002, to the Student Loan Advisory Council.

EXPLANATION: Montana Code Annotated, 2-15-1520, requires that the Board of Regents appoints a Student Loan Advisory Council to work with the Montana Guaranteed Student Loan Program. The Council advises the Board on policies, rules and procedures, and assures that students, schools, and lenders are adequately served.
