ITEM 108-2007-R0700       Authorization  to Grant a Highway Easement to the Montana Department of Transportation on the Ft. Ellis Agricultural Experiment Station in Gallatin County, Montana; Montana State University-Bozeman

 

THAT:                                    The Board of Regents of Higher Education authorizes Montana State University-Bozeman to execute a Right of Way Agreement  and Highway Easement with the Montana Department of Transportation to widen the state highway that crosses the Ft. Ellis Property

 

EXPLANATION:                  The Montana Department of Transportation seeks an easement of .72 acres and a 1.09 acre temporary construction permit.  The Department has agreed to pay a total of $3,300 for the easement and right of way.  Based upon the appraisal conducted for a similar easement on this property, the consideration is based upon the fair market value.  The proposed Right of Way Agreement and Easement are attached  with the supporting documentation.
