Montana GEAR UP Achievement Grant (AG):
This one-time grant is awarded to students from the 2005 GEAR UP participating high schools (see below) during their junior year. In order to be eligible to apply, students must be on track to complete the Montana College Prep Curriculum while maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA. While students earn their award in the 11th grade, the money is held in an account and awarded upon request directly to the student’s post-secondary institution for up to 18 months after graduating from high school.

Montana GEAR UP Pathways Scholarship:
The Pathways Scholarship helps provide academically prepared students from GEAR UP participating high schools (see above) financial assistance to help access postsecondary education. The scholarship is awarded to recipients of the Montana GEAR UP Achievement Grant (see above) who meet the eligibility requirements and apply during their senior year of high school. The scholarship’s maximum value is $22,540 which is disbursed in annual awards of $5635 or less. The scholarship may be used at any public or private 2- or 4- year accredited institution in the United States.
