If you have a question to ask, email bsp@montana.edu. Answers will be posted to this site in very sort order!

Question: If we attended last year & established one pathway, do you suggest that we concentrate on a different pathway this year?

Answer: It is important to make sure the pathways you worked on last year have been through this process, so we recommend you concentrate on those pathways first. You are welcome work on as many other pathways as your school is able to. Keep in mind it is helpful to have a full team consisting of a Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher, Academic Teacher and a Counselor when going through this process. If you don't have a full team for each pathway, that is OK as long as you have one full team from your school.

Question: How can we get a copy of the Power Point presentation?

Answer: The PowerPoint, a PDF of the PowerPoint and the full recording are all available on our main Big Sky Pathways webpage.

Question: I was at a different high school last year, so I missed the 1st step of this process, will I be able to keep up?

Answer: The short answer, ABSOLUTELY! We've been assured by the facilitator Gene Benson, the workshop will be valuable and productive for folks new to pathways or those who have been involved previously.

Question: With two high schools in town, does that mean we can bring teachers from each building for each pathway we choose.

Answer: YOU BET! Your only limit is 3 team members per pathway, but there is no limit to the number of pathways. MAKE SURE you view the reports above the registration pages. Not all pathways are offered at all workshop locations.

Question: Is it the college's responsibilty to notify high school personnel to get them on board for the follow-up meetings, i.e., has OPI contacted the high schools--how to coordinate the the high schools for the next step meetings?

Answer: Nope. Big Sky Pathway Staff from the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education and Office of Public Instruction are notifying all secondary CTE and Academic Teachers, as well as Counselors and Administrators. Feel free to forward the website link to those who have questions or have not yet received a notice. A copy of the noitce is posted.

Question: Could we get copies of emails/correspondence sent to high schools so we are all on the same page, and to determine what more colleges need to do to make sure our college/high school team to the October 26 meeting?

Answer: Sure thing. That document and many other helpful documents can be found on our website. Check it out.
