ITEM 119-117-R0503����������������� BUDGET AMENDMENT � FISCAL YEAR 2003; Flathead Valley Community College

 

THAT:�������������������������������������� The Board of Regents authorizes Flathead Valley Community College to increase their operating budget by $110,000

 

EXPLANATION:����������������������� 20-15-312 MCA requires:

�The board of regents shall review the proposed total operating budget and all its components and make any changes it determines necessary.� The board of trustees of a community college district shall operate within the limits of the operating budget approved by the board of regents.�

 

Flathead Valley Community College has enrolled approximately 162.92 FTE over the original budget for FY2003.� Of the additional tuition generated from these FTE, the college is requesting an additional $110,000 to pay for the increased cost in property and liability insurance and the increased cost of adjunct faculty.

The Board of Trustees for Flathead Valley Community College has approved this budget amendment.
