NOTICE OF INTENT���������� Authorization to Create the Undergraduate Non-teaching Minor in International Business; Montana State University-Bozeman
THAT: The Board of Regents of Higher Education authorizes Montana State University-Bozeman to award the Minor in International Business.
EXPLANATION:����������������� The Minor in International Business is provided to meet the needs of the global marketplace for College of Business graduates.� Increasingly, potential employers are seeking employees who have knowledge and experience internationally.� This minor will give students in accounting, finance, management and marketing the additional expertise needed to differentiate themselves in the job placement process.
The minor program objectives include:
� To provide students a broad-based interdisciplinary educational experience that will enable the student to succeed in a culturally diverse global business environment.
� To enable students to acquire the basic skills and knowledge necessary for a career in international business.
� To provide students flexibility in designing a rigorous program that best suits each student�s own individual needs and interests.
