Place: National Guard Headquarters, Fort Harrison, Rm 600

Time: 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Purpose: The purposes of the retreat are for the Regents and the Commissioner:

         to clarify internal operating procedures and committees

         to converse/listen/plan with legislative leaders (invited)

         to review long-range projections

         to review the BOR strategic plan for current relevance

         to prioritize current and proposed Board/OCHE initiatives and obligations

Primary Expected Outcome:

Establish working guidelines and priorities for the next 12-18 months.

Process: Informal conversational meeting style under the direction of the Chair.

12:00-12:45 Lunch On-Site NG Headquarters Cafeteria

12:45 1:15 Tour of NG Headquarters and Emergency Services

(re: proposed memorandum of understanding between BOR and Emergency Services for Homeland Security re-grant board item, November meeting).

1:30 4:30 Regents Workshop: Identify and prioritize specific assignments/tasks for Regents and OCHE. (Comprehensive worksheet in preparation; will be sent in advance)
