Nominations to the Student Loan Advisory Council

There are two vacancies on the Student Loan Advisory Council, one for a representative from the secondary market and one for a student representative. It is my recommendation that Jim Stipcich be reappointed, effective January 1, 2000 for a three year term ending December 31, 2002. It is also my recommendation that Jessica Kobos, President of the Montana Associated Students, be appointed effective January 1, 2000 for a three year term ending December 31, 2002.
Jim Stipcich has been Executive Director for the state�s designated secondary market, the Montana Higher Education Student Assistance Corporation, since its inception in 1981. Jim is also the Executive Director for the Student Assistance Foundation of Montana which was created by the MHESAC Board this year.
Jessica Kobos is the current president of the Montana Associated Students. She is a junior at the University of Montana and is also the President of ASUM. Jessica is very active in student government and has a student loan guaranteed by MGSLP.
