RE: Nominations to the Student Loan Advisory Council

DATE: January 17, 2002

There is one vacancy on the Student Loan Advisory Council for a representative from the lending community.

It is my recommendation that D. W. Eiler be appointed from Wells Fargo Bank to represent the lender community, effective January 1, 2002 for a three year term ending December 31, 2004. Well Fargo Education Finance Service is largest lender that originates loans under the Montana Guaranteed Student Loan Program, and represents over 20% of MGSLPs guarantee new loan volume.

D. W. Eiler has been with Well Fargo Education Financial Services as a Regional Market Manager since 1998 . Prior Mr. Eiler is an Account Executive with Wells Fargo-Education Financial Services. Mr. Eiler is a member of the Montana Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and represents Wells Fargo Bank on student loan issues. He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Eiler was a systems consultant for Computers Unlimited.
